Carnage Blender Ads (in General)

I'm thinking of turning the ads on provided they do something beneficial.

Are there any benefits to the community or to the site itself to having the ads on?

So? Selecting 'Show Ads' in the Settings should still let me view ads...

There is a check box that allows you to see ads under settings.

I think there's a check box, where you turn them on. Then you can see them.

Maybe it's a theme issue, have we got any supporter who CAN see them?

in an odd aside, anyone else find that the Default theme is much faster than Modern Mono?

Let's try this once more:

1) I've already selected the checkbox to show the ads, however ads still don't appear anywhere on the site. Why? Novice's suggestion of themes is valid, but I tried looking through on the Default with no success of finding any ads.

2) If I ever do get any ads, is there any benefit to the community or the site to have them on?

Hmm.. I just turned them on. I don't remember seeing ads anywhere else besides forging, and that's where I just found them. Try using a couple of ba forging SNK...

I even tried logging out to see if that did it...

Oh and btw... 'Google AdSense: CB gets paid a small amount for clicks. It defaults to opening
in this window & closing chat; to avoid this, use right-click, open in new window/tab.'... so i guess it does help?

I think it's in "Settings". There's an option, if you're a supporter.

I have Ads enabled and I don't see anything. I think it's more of a non-supporter vs supporter thing.

I turned off the ads. then forgot about it. The only thing I noticed different is that I randomly get the following text inside a banner sized table cell thing;

"Click exchange: the more people click on ads displayed on CB, the more CB's ad
will be displayed on other sites. Feel free to use right-click, open in new window/tab."

That, I guess, would be considered an ad. I haven't seen it since I've become a supporter, so I'm not sure what is up with that.

Once at zero BA I receive adds about 20% of the time if I continue to click fight from the Allowance Exceeded page.

As I recall, google only pays on a click, not on an impression (unless that changed). So just looking at the ads does nothing. You have to click on something.

Which is why you right-click > open in new tab > let it load > close. :)

Hey! Now I actually see an ad in there :)

I clicked on the box that shows up on the out of BA page and an AD appeared!
