Question about DB (in General)

Say I have a pth of (n) and a dex twice as high as the person I am attacking. However, they have a pair of DB (n+100). Does that mean I have a 0% chance of hitting them, despite having more dex?

I think DB's give an effect of evasion which gives an effect of defensive dex. If you have a +50 VB and they have +150 DBs that means you'll have a 0% chance to hit them before your dex is added. So it'll be your dex vs their defensive dex from an evasion effect of 100. I THINK...Do not quote me, as I am slow and have a hard time understanding game mechanics. :D

I believe you'd still have say 30-50% chance of a single hit...

And no, DBs don't confer defensive dex. But the dex vs dex chance to hit alone should give a possibility of up to 150% hit chance... So in theory at least, you should still have some chance to hit. I don't know how much dex is needed for the maximum dex advantage but 2x might do it.

I thought DB's added straight to Evasion? ... I didn't know they ONLY remoeved PTH... wow I'm stupid. -.-

When Evasion was revised the effect of DBs were not. This was intentionally done by Jon.

This isn't an Evasion question to start with so why the off-topic answers?
DB's reduce the attacking minions DEX by 1% per + above the pth which means theoretically a pair of (n+100) DB's will be impossible to hit.
But we all know how randomness seems to affect things quite strongly here in CB land :)

There is always a 5% chance to hit, as far as I know. Read the page in the Wiki called "To-hit". It seems accurate from my empirical findings.

I just wanted to know if I had to spend a bunch of $$$ to get the pth on my exbow up to a level where I would actually be hitting people that are wearing DB. Seems I do :P
