I just tried to make a post in another thread, but wanted to preview it. As expected, I did see something wrong with the previewed post and clicked 'Back' to edit it. Unfortunately, FF told me that I'd submitted 'Post' data with the last request and that it would be resubmitted if I continued. I did so, and found my post missing from the page. Is this something wrong on my end (as usual), maybe a FireFox 2.0 problem, or did Jon break this recently?

Most likely a FF issue. Have you tried restarting FF?
Yes. I've also rebooted Windows.

If you have the web developer extension for firefox click Disable and uncheck Disable cache.
You should also be able to do that via about:config or maybe even the Tools menu of firefox.
