Comment Flamey's strategy. (in General)

Yeah, that's right, comment on my strategy, whether it be good, bad or anything else. I don't care if it's flames or criticism, let me know what you think, and any ideas or improving, but mainly just comments on its current form. I guess I'll post my stats so you guys can get a good look at it.

If you want to find out my armour, I can post it, but you can mainly see what my gear is by looking at my character page. The MH isn't mine its a loan, everything else is mine.

Hmm, I'm going to go on the basis that you don't necessarily want to change your strat hugely (although if you do I'd suggest following the melee tank crowd and switching to a ToE but keeping everything else as it stands).

Otherwise, it might be RoE time and get some more muscle on that tank of yours.

Didn't you used to have a ranged attack on this team? I'd also consider that, but I'm a fan of mixing ranged and melee, even with that lost first round of melee.

Apart from that though mate I can't see anything else I'd do with it.

Flamey May 4 2007 7:07 AM EDT

I think I may be too heavily dependent on my ED to go down the ToE route. All of my EDs seem to be of great use to me.

I have a RoE lying there, how many opponents am I expecting to lose, because I think when I tried quickly, half or a bit less of my fightlist beat me.

I did used to have a Ranged weapon, but it was too small, same as my melee, that's why I'm renting and a lot of the time I missed with my ELB. I'm thinking saving a lot of money, probably selling the ELB and getting my VB forged up lots so it can compete.

My main weakness seems to be evasion, mostly. A lot of characters I'll lose against because I can't touch them, that's the only reason, if I could land a hit, I'd win. But some of those evasion's are heaps high.

Any other general comments? How effective you think it is? Weaknesses against anything or specific teams. It's what I'm looking for.

I would suggest that you ditch all the leather gear. My guess is that it will increase your fight rewards by 1-2% since your PR will go down, but have no effect on who you can beat.

A little bigger gamble would be the Cornuthaums. These have a relatively high PR weight. Try removing one or the other or both of these and seeing if it changes your fight list.

Evasion is going to be a problem for you, more so than a ToA team because of your lack of PTH. And that really is the answer where evasion is concerned. And the only way to get more PTH? Money or a ToA.....

Switching from the RoS to another tattoo needn't be a problem, unless most of your fightlist are DM teams.

Ditch the TSA for an EH on your tank. With only 12.5K HP, the TSA's benefits are pretty useless. An EH, on the other hand, would help you against FB mages.

Your team is perfect, it beats me solidly with much less pr. Keep the TSA the str is important part there.

Flamey May 4 2007 10:20 AM EDT

I always had the TSA there for ST, never for DD resistance, I don't think it would make that much of a difference and I also think that ST is more important than the Decaying DD resistance.

I'll give the leathers/corn thing a go, just not too sure on the tat changing, it seems I rely on the ED, and well without the AS I'm screwed.

Thanks, nov.

Tatt changing was a suggestion; mostly because I get the impression you're at the 'stuck' place right now. Mostly it's patience that gets you past that. And/or upping the amount of damage you do.
