Has anyone else ever noticed that there is not a rare glove that offers a high base AC and an inexpensive upgrade curve? It seems to me that every other category of armor gives players the option of just piling on the AC with no extra frills, so why not gloves? I would like to see a new gauntlet that would have a base AC of 8~9 that would use an upgrade formula something like the HoD. I know its a minor thing, but the omission of an AC centric pair of gloves has always bothered me. I guess its the lack of symmetry or something. So what do you think, a good idea or a future FORS?
highly upgraded Tulkas can stop 8% of the damage you get from an arrow to the face, I'd say they make good AC gloves. But I understand what you're saying, as the HoE has a pretty decent curve, but the HoD is there too... So all in all, it makes sense, but I think there's a balance already that wouldn't be a good idea to mess with. Huge AC walls are already hard enough, imagine them with an extra 8 AC...
hit the keyboard too high, meant 5% :P

It actually sounds like a very good idea, but it should come with one thing.
A minor nerfage of all AC items to make up for the additional item. Which, IMO, the AoAC should've come with.
now that makes sense. gets a new glove out there, and doesn't screw with the balance. great ideas RB and OB :)
The downfall of the TG is the pr weight of 0.15. Every purely AC item has a pr weight of 0.10
There have been requests for Base 8 Gauntlets since cb2's inception.

Since CB2 burst forth in triumphant glory from the loins of CB1, it has cried out, 'Mama!', meaning 'Give us base 8 gloves'!
Sorry, it popped into my head and I had to post it.
