Decay question (in General)

What is the meaning of the Decay effect?

In other words, if my Decay stats indicate "1000 (1)", what does the "(1)" part mean?

I don't think the (1) ever actually changes. Mine is:

Decay: 277,000/183,000 (1)

Meaning (to me) that it always has the same effect (halving the opponents HP), but Jonathan's coding requires that there be an integer in the effect area.

I could be wrong though, because I play CB from the wrong side of my brain ;)

No matter how high you get that level, its effect will still be (1). I guess this just shows that it is a constant, and the only thing changing with the level is the AMF resistance.

(1) means from programming point of view, it cannot be 0 or -ve :P Else it won't do anything hehe, but that's my guess.

Decay, even at base, always has the same effect apart from the reduction that AMF causes. Which is why you can still use decay with a mage shield. Training decay higher, as you would other stats, reduces the amount that AMF affects it.

Thanks for the responses.
