Hmmm Okay? (in Off-topic)

I go to sleep last night, wake up to the login screen on Windoes.

Try to log in and find out 'this profile cannot be loaded because of some crap or another', sits there for a minute or so, then loads up like I just made a new Profile.

I have 5 icons, when I had around 10-15, which don't really make any sense, besides the Recycling Bin, (by not making sense, it put my NETGEAR wireless network manager shortcut, which i never had on the desktop, WoW, Yahoo Messenger, and Windoes Media Player.)

My comp does the auto-update crap which i highly annoying, and when I first logged on to my 'wiped' profile, I saw the icon indicating that it had been 'Successfully Updated'.

I should not that I cannot remember the last time I have relogged onto windoes, so I have no idea what could have messed this up. Only things I've downloaded are a couple of blizzard StarCraft 2 trailers, the auto-updates for World of Warcraft, and that's it. This is the first thing I've tried logging onto, and probably will be the only thing I try putting my password in until I scan my comp for viruses, spyware, nasties, etc.

So my question to you fine folks of CB is, What is a possible solution? Using a restore point? Do I have to build from ground up? and I hope this profile has admin rights.

Did you run the desktop cleanup wizard and forget?

No sir. As I stated above, it did the automatic-update, which after done installing, restarts your computer automatically. I was on the Profile login page for Windoes... Even if I had run the Desktop cleaner thing, it wouldn't reset firefox ie. I don't have verifex's script anymore, it''s saving cookies/history when i had it set to delete them upon firefox closing, it doesn't have the custom skin that I had installed. The desktop cleaner also wouldn't remove the screensaver I had on either, or the wallpaper I had right?... I'm 100% positive I didn't run the Desktop Cleanup Wizard.

I'm assuming your computer has unique settings for each profile. So you will need to take this profile and return it to your old profile's status. Each profile has a default so you'll have to edit it to where you want it.

Well this is my only profile. I just system restored and everything looks to be fine... I appreciate the help guys.
