ToA or RoE? (in General)

Im kinda new here, but i just started supporting, and I recieved the RoE...I have been using the LToA, and I switched to the RoE to get more xp, but i am losing more due to the loss of st and dx. should I keep the switch and build it all up or keep it the way it is? Im sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but it seemed most appropriate. Thanks!!

It's a fine place to ask. And on to your actual question, it's just a matter of personal preference. RoE allows you to grow faster, and get a better team in the long run, but often means a smaller fight list and more time looking for opponents. Going with a ToA is nice, since you have the stats, and PTH (Plus To Hit) that it gives. However, it raises your PR so you actually receive smaller rewards than you would without.

Personally, I'd say stick it out with the RoE. The long term benefits are much greater. Besides, if it's just a LToA you're using now, you don't need to worry about leveling it at all, or at least until you have a regular ToA. Good luck.

I have two suggestions:

1) Keep the RoE for as long as possible, it will let you grow really fast and it is necessary in order to catch up to the people at the top.
2) Train a skill on your tank in order to win more, and thus get better opponents to make up for you lack of a fighting tattoo. I would suggest either Bloodlust or Evasion, if you plan to stick to a crossbow. If you eventually will switch to a bow, then I would train archery and rent an elbow for the time being.
3) Get rid of the Tower shield NOW! It is by far the worst shield in the game. I would go with either a buckler or a small wooden shield if you feel you absolutely need a shield, but you should do fine without a shield for a long, long time.

Also, if you decide to ignore me (if you do, that is awesome, because having fun with your character and making your own decisions is half the fun of cb) then I would definitely suggest getting a regular ToA asap. Lesser tattoos dont usually sell in auctions unless they are base and you can't really make use of them in any other way.

Ha ts cool, thanks a lot. I def plan on making my own decisions, or else its def no fun, but i really appreciate the advice! I think i will train a skill, and i will rid myself of the tower shield...lol, but i thought u want a high AC?

I think I'd move the RoE to your enchanter rather than your tank... Since you're NUB you won't have any trouble finding the money to buy rare body armours/clocks to wear (which you can't wear if you have a tattoo on that minion).

You can start a new thread about which body armour to wear.. but i'm gonna go right ahead and recommend Trollskin armour --> elven hauberk ;)
