Is it just me that has the default setting on a new thread so that my email notification for it is switched off?
When did that change?

People probably got annoyed, I noticed that too, I always clicked 'no' so maybe it got used to it :P

The amount of posting I've done over the past couple of years - I got very used to switching it off; otherwise my email in box was swamped with replies.
Tiny change but very useful. Providing it's permanent!

hopefully. I check CB more often than my email, so it's just better like this anyway.
It's the best tiny change ever - let me tell you about e-mail inbox flooding when one forgot to check "no"!
