An Interesting Idea (in General)

What if you were allowed to choose whether to cast Dispel Magic on yourself or on your enemy. This would be a way for mages to get rid of AMF, and, to a lesser degree due to the lesser use, tanks to get rid of EC.

For example a minion with DM trained would have to pick before battle whether to cast on an enemy or friend. Or if that makes it too easy to be abused (i.e. changing before every fight), have an offensive and defensive dispel magic.

well, as far as making mages overpowered, im not sure about that because it could take a considerable amount of exp to completely dispel some AMFs, diluting their exp in other skills/spells/stats

not to mention it would dispel any EDs you have

If you cast DM on yourself and your opponent also cast DM would they effect each other? Or would it tear a hole in the universe causing a matter/anti-matter explosion and give a stalemate? :p

Oh, and would a RoS protect you from your own DM you cast on yourself?

casting DM on yourself would reduce enemy offensive enchantments, such as EC and AMF. In the case of enemy casting DM on you and you casting DM on you, i would think they should stack
