Pictures from the set of "Broke" (in Off-topic)

Here's a few of the pictures I took of the set to check out how my lighting would look on film. Ignore the people-- they're just my fellow students/co-workers (read: slaves).

That's wild -- those stills look so much like scenes from movies, like vid-caps... Shows how little I know about lighting (and that you DO *smile*). So I assume those are all shots without flash, since that is how the camera will register the areas?

The lighting is fabulous -- excellent mood-sets. I especially like the one right before the last one -- stark on the left and warm (as warm as a sparse bedroom can be) distance on the right. I can almost hear the dialog already. *smile*

It's amazing what you can do with millions of dollars worth of lighting gear... If only I had access to this kind of stuff all the time.

I've really always hated flash photography, although I do recognize the necessity for it on certain occasions. I never use it though. I will, however, say it generally makes the average consumer's photos better.
