NCB Help (in General)

I started a new NCB because I want to take it to its fullest potential. I'd like some ideas on how to maximize the output on my NCB. I remember it was like Sefton who said to me when I was a newbie that the best way to use a NCB is to be a single minion FB mage until the NCB is over, then hire the other minions, which I might do. Does anyone else have any suggestions or tips for me and people planning out their NCBs in the future?

Staying single with an RoE obviously maximizes MPR. Just know you would be spending around 90-100 million in additional minions if you take a single minion through your NCB.

Get in a clan, even if it is a singleton.

Watch your fight list close, and always look for fresh meat. Sometimes the meat is way up high. Always check the fight lists of people you can beat, and see who they are beating. It is a great way to maximize high targets by broadening your kill base. Bear in mind that just because you can beat someone, though, doesn't mean you will always be able to beat who they beat.

Once you see who you can beat, you can also check stats to find other similar teams. In this way, you will learn who is weak against you (might be a niche).

Buy all your BA if you can. This is crucial. If you cannot afford all BA, try to buy BA during high experience times.

Use high money times to test out new targets and hone your strategy.

If going single mage, train the hell out of your DD. 3-4 times your HP is OK. I liked having GA as a "second minion", but then you will also have to avoid DM targets.

That's all I can think of right now... That took me quite a ways. BA cost between 25-30 million at the time I ran Hubbell up, and like I said, new minions will cost you around 30 million each if you buy at the end of your bonus.

So, uh, being as someone who's poor and probably won't have enough to buy half of the BA anyway, when should I start adding minions? :o

Now that's a VERY good question. *smile* Many would say right away, or to at least probably start with two. That way, the cost is half what I said, but you still have two buff minions that can support each other...

if you keep your higher level characters, you will increase your ba cost on your new ncb if i am not mistaken.

from what i here ba cost is based on the character that used the most ba on the previous day

That's what I heard too.. or maybe it was you I heard it from...

I played the game of retiring my higher character (luckily only had one), unretiring, re-retiring, etc. until my NCB surpassed it. I didn't feel like playing games with waiting for cost to go down or anything like that, just easier to retire, unretire, etc.
