How does CB advertise, where are our new players coming from? I'm curious, I went through a lot of links to find it. Maybe we need better advertising, well I think its obvious that we do, but what are the current methods.

i remember when there was the "extra BA for voting" scenario and it didn't really work... but maybe just a little bit of advertising would be nice

That's on a ton of games, I'm sure many of us, at least 50 of us would do that just for support, let alone BA or cash.
Though it wouldn't be too bad to offer 5k? or something small but not too small for people to vote on those websites for CB? I don't know how that didn't work.

I had completely forgotten that CB had that in place. I have "Meet new people; Kill them" as my signature on a few places, but not that many. I should add it to some more places I frequent...
We are now getting a ''CB advertising'' thread each week. I think now would be the time to really do something :)
Doesn't anybody around have good tips on how to make it happen? I mean, someone hear ought to have already advertised something?
If we had a definite prize on how much a small scale advert campaign would cost...maybe a couple peeps could scrape the last few cents/dollars in their paypal and give a give it a go. I'd certainly contribute my remaining small change...

previous thread that relates to this, it is about
New Player Retention.
I've seen 30-40 new signups from a link I posted on some news site with a thread about free rpgs...two of them finished the tutorial.
We need an initial hook more than anything else, all the advertising in the world isn't going to help if we can't get people to actually play.

"stick with CB for a month, and you'll receive one free grande taco in the mail!"
Make a concerted effort to take exit polls from people who leave quickly. That's the only way to really find out why they're leaving.

I like that idea NS
Maybe an automated email to new players that haven't signed in for say two weeks? Something along the lines of "As a new member of Carnage Blender we're sad to see you haven't logged in for a while. If you don't intend to return we would greatly appreciate if you could answer this short questionnaire on your impressions of Carnage Blender."
