Boycotting (in General)

I'm sick and tired of people buying items, and then grabbing control of the market and then jacking up prices half a mil on an item. I can't stand the fact that within the last few months, HoC and MgS have both shot up to 4m over NW. It's also mind-boggling how the prices of AoI have shot up 500k in a matter of days.

As much as I can't stand it (probably just because I feel it's taking advantage of other people and I have a soul) it's also destroying the economy much worse that USD is. Because of this very principle we needed to have a re-introduction of a supporter item. Now, we need 3 of these aforementioned items to have the same thing done.

I don't see how else we can prevent seeing these prices rise up through the sky (they broke through the roof a long freaking time ago) except for boycotting the people who are clearly doing this. People have suggested price limits, but that is almost impossible to implement.

It's fine if you buy something, and sell it when you realize you don't need it anymore, but it's obvious that some people have become dealers. I'm not trying to target anyone, but I personally feel that that is the one thing that turns me off of CB.

If you really want to turn your money into more money, do it the right way. NightStrike and Pixel Sage both created loan businesses that give themselves a little added profit, and also benefit the community by allowing people to buy things that they can't afford immediately.

Sign here if you hate this as much as I do, and will boycott the people who are taking advantage of others while simultaneously degrading the economy.

In all honesty, if this kind of boycott was possible then forgers would be charging 80-90% right now.

The fact that you need a concerted effort from numerous people basically kills any hope of any real change.

Nevertheless, I completely agree with your argument.

The boycott was my idea. :(

So I agree. XD

Also.. I think the pricing was due to the fact that some desperate people bid that high to set a standard in auction :P Like many had said before, the buyers determines the market price, not the seller, they can set their price as much as they like but if it doesn't please the public, they ain't getting any bids.

You can just check HOC's auction history. The highest ever bid was Sut's 3.7 mil. Neveras had been trying to sell his for ages at much higher pricing :P without much luck. So it's not as bad as it's perceived. If you are really that concerned about the pricing, maybe you can start to set a standard buy selling your HOC for only 1mil :) That will certainly bring down the market value hehehe
