I have an error message that keeps popping up on my computer in lab.
svchost.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0xca210008" refrenced memory at "0xca210008". The memory could not be "read".
This will NOT go away evern when I click cancel.
I have run an updated spyware searcher and an anti-virus program.
turn off automatic updates, run a manual update from windowsupdate.microsoft.com and turn auto updates back on...

First hit from google.
1.Go 2 the start menu
2.Right click "my computer"
3.Click "properties" then the "automatic updates" tab
4.Choose "turn off automatic updates"
5.Reboot your computer
6.Go back to start menu and in all programs go to "windows update" you have to be connected to the internet.
7.Manually update windows.
8.Turn your automatic updates back on.

The error comes back when I turn auto updates back on.
Any other thoughts? Can I just leave auto updates off?

Step 2: ...... there is no step 2!
leaving auto updates off is a good idea...but only if you're willing to do updates yourself...otherwise you'll need to search the M$ knowledge base for the more detailed instructions about how to solve this...if I come across them again I'll post em...
