Another GA/PL question... (in General)

Dark Dreky July 24 2007 4:00 PM EDT

Hey all,

I was just trying to plan out my NCB strat and I was wondering how exactly GA and PL work together.

I understand that GA does not effect PL'd damage... if ya know what I mean. My question is:

For maximum retaliation, does the level of GA have to as high as the total damage (as in the damage BEFORE PL takes some away) or does it just have to be as high as the damage that is left after PL takes effect?

After PL.

It is believed that if your GA is the same level as the blow you take, you will not return 60%, this is without taking in any other methods of damage reduction.

"It is believed that if your GA is the same level as the blow you take, you will not return 60%"

I thought that the level of GA must equal the blow for it to return 60% of the damage. Is this true?

Don't know. People have disagreed with it, with small tests. I haven't done any. Rubberduck was the main person who disagreed with that.

Yup, but that's raw damage without reducing via protective armor / spell. The numbers shown in the play-by-play will only be consistent with this, if you are naked and has enough HP to take all damage without dying.

So, in order to retaliate 60% of damage the level of GA must match the damage dealt BEFORE ToE/AC/Protection?

ga must be 2.5 times as large as the damage done (regardless of raw or post DR) to return 60% (thanks to RD for this)

Yikes! Thats not what I wanted to hear (read) ! =(
