awkward damage (in General)

as i was fighting i accidentally unequipped my VB but realized that i was doing more melee damage without the blade then with it (22k vs 9k). the char that is doing the damage only has archery trained also. i was hoping if someone could give me some insight on what is going on in my situation.

Ranged is more powerful than melee and the ELB is the most powerful weapon in the game.

And I should have gone on to say, (instead of clicking submit) it's perfectly feasible to have a tank that doesn't use a melee weapon but keeps the ranged weapon only.


There have been plenty of arguments/discussions about how powerful ranged weapons are in the past. Nobody is entirely sure why Jon makes it this way.

And just to spam your post - I haven't owned a melee weapon in some time. If you increase the size of the ELB you will find that at some point you will be able to finish battles in three rounds or less.
