Well, here's the deal, or at least _a_ deal...

My cat is a lot like that. She would put up with that, and she likes conflict. By "like" it, I mean she hates it. But she can't help it. Gentle affection annoys her. Control controls her. I can't figure out what she wants, and that's an OK thing. She's the most beautiful creature I've seen, and I can recognize the intelligence in her just by making eye contact with her.

Some folks are dog people. Dogs are cool, I understand that. I have met some extremely intelligent canines. But dogs don't have the personality of cats (the right ones), in my opinion. I'm not saying I want a cat I can paddle. And I'm not saying dogs don't do cool things (the skateboarding dog is still _damn_ fine). But overall, cats have more of a range. Some cats don't need people at all, and they don't need to go all feral to eschew human-kind (how many housecats have chewn off someone's face? How many dogs?). I dig that. Are there dogs out there that just saunter off and do their own thing? I suppose. But I've never met the canine equivalent of a super-cool Tom who just goes around doing his thing, doling out evil and kindness in equal doses (probably more evil, toms are decidedly bad mothers when they want to be).

I'm not sure why the video exists. It isn't funny. It's long. It only takes a few paddles for anyone who knows animals to say, "Hm, weird. The cat likes it. And he keeps paddling her." Beyond that, what's the point? Where's the value-added aspect of this? Are there really people who know so little about felines to not realize this is how some cats are?

I know dog people who would watch that vid, pat their bellies satisfactorily, and then say, "Yep, that's why cat's are dumb and dogs are cooler." I just hope that isn't the case here.

LoL.No I suppose I'm more of a cat person myself.Though the clip makes me think of a German Shepard we had as kids.I think I was hoping for a reaction like yours I guess.
