My next NCB time is coming up, and I'm considering another run at a Single Minion backed by a damage dealing Familiar.
I did Mage this time round, so Tank next. ;)
What I'm considering is;
Minion: Junction, EC, VA (J and VA only as large as needed, EC everything else). AoF, HG, EB, HoE.
JKF
I could go with a Hal and a HoC, but I don't really like them. :/

Is the jig's damage output enough? And I'm not seeing any mage defence going on here.....of course if you're going to specialise?
Those would be the two downsides; can't see any others, except maybe the lack of ranged attack.
Hows a JFK sorted for HP? Is it the same HP levels as the mage familiars?

I would train some HP on the enchanter so as to spread FB and CoC damage as long as possible. Your JKF won't deal damage if it can't survive till melee.

Why don't you like Hal? Because of Evasion?
Since Hal's pth was fixed, I thought he did OK on the damage front, and then he gives you a ranged attack...
I would go with a configuration where the familiar AND the minion benefit from the junctioned equipment.
Perhaps a UC minion with Junction, Jig, HG, HoE, EB, AoI (for evasion bonus), SoD, AMF.
Or go with an archery minion with a Hal and the obvious equipment backup. Remember, when you use junction and it affects a piece of equipment that helps both the familiar and the minion, you get twice as much bang for your buck.

ranger did like rare quad hits so i assume it was around 310 PTH on hal lol
310 - 150(from max dex gap) = 160
and thats from a 4.5mill tat lol... i wouldnt say is very good but yea :) its much better now

miteke, UC plus Junction on single minion = impossible.
As for the strategy, I like it. It's very original. Will suck against most mage teams though. Maybe training Protection instead of VA would be better? I'm not sure...

Hmmm...
For the record, I think it will do -okay- against some mage teams. Here's the problem, in my opinion.
The limited growth of the jiggy will end up making the strat iffy. Even if you -could- keep the tat at max level, you really are limited how strong it could be. But, if nothing else.
4 minions. One nothing but junction, the rest EC and VA. Will make the VA more vulnerable to DM, but if you trained base decays on all the minions, it will be you laughing. This way, you get the same amount of every stat, AND 4 kill slots. I know you want to stay single minion, but realistically, I think more minions when trying to keep a jiggy alive is good.
You'd wouldn't really have to split the VA into four, the Jig doesn't need much anyway.
