hello there

nice to meet you all =)
could someone explain forging to me though? I'm sort of lost. I think I understand the cycles. But well below is what happened...

your Heavy Crossbow is cool to the touch
A Dwarf who has been watching approaches you. "That's no way to do it. Here." He takes your Heavy Crossbow and plunges it into the water bath until it is cool, then hands it back.
You cast a spell.
A drop of water sizzles on your Heavy Crossbow
You heat your Heavy Crossbow
your Heavy Crossbow is cool to the touch
Working on A Heavy Crossbow [4x4] (+3) (Help: Heavy Crossbow for instructions)

Hello... Welcome to CB.

Now, for forging, regardless on if you're forging for viciousness ( the X or damage), or accuracy ( the + ), you're going to be heating it more than one time which you just did.

If you're doing Viciousness, 105, 22 is the formula, which means that you'll heat the crossbow for 10 minutes, 10 different times, then for 5 minutes one time, cast viciousness, and then quench it all the way until It says ''your Heavy Crossbow is cool to the touch''. Then you heat it for 10 minutes, 2 different times, and 2 minutes one time, cast spell of tempering, and quench it until it says ''your Heavy Crossbow is cool to the touch'' again. Viola, you have just completed a cycle. You do the same thing over and over.

The same goes for the accuracy, expect you follow the formula Accuracy 80, 25.

Hope that helps.

P.S.- You should really not be forging as it is more profitable for you in the long run to fight as much as humanly possible. It'll let you get a stronger character which will allow you to make even more cash.

Thanks.
But where did you those numbers? The times i mean.

Oh there it is. I missed the link to the forging formulae when I read it the first time. Thanks for the help, but since everyone says not to I guess I won't be forging much. I just wanted to complete the Goals on the side of the page heh.
