PR Change (in General)

ems to me either tattoos are adding too much PR or armor and weapons aren't adding enough. In my case, I have a 1.7 mil PR, but the only item of any worth is my tattoo. Players with the same PR as me have many times the NW.

Seems a little twisted... I thought PR was supposed to indicate your PR... and all it indicates to me is how big their tattoo is and if their weapon is extremely large. Either way, I feel this is a bit warped.

I know, this thread will be flamed to something less than dust. But, I truly find it's just a bit warped. I do understand weapon allowance, but I believe it should be significantly reduced. And armor as it relates to PR should be increased. 400 AC should affect PR to a large degree and currently fails to do so.

Just something to think about... and flame... Even if it is true.

100% agree with ya here GW. I have always thought that WA was completely unacceptable the way it is... it allows tanks to have "hidden power" which leads to them getting greater rewards at the expense of USD inflated weapons. OK, I know... that was a little rough. I don't really mean to be too harsh but its a little late and I've had a few pints.

What I proposed in the past (and will always continue to support) is EA. Equipment allowance would be the sum of the all the net worth on a character. This would include tattoos, armor, and weapons... this number would be dependent on the characters MPR .

I feel this is a good idea because it would force tanks balance tattoo NW with their weapon NW. Also, it would add more opportunities for mage teams to have some sort of "hidden power" that increased their effectiveness without reducing their rewards. It just makes sense... doesn't it?

P.S. (why isn't mage in spellcheck)

P.P.S (why isn't spellcheck in spellcheck.... is it spell check?)

Bump.

And I agree, DD. Currently, it's all just free power. Any change to how this system is done would be delightful.

Yeah, I'm curious to have some ideas or thoughts here... unless our logic is undeniable??

BootyGod September 23 2007 8:44 PM EDT

Apparently, it is. We'll see a change any day now ^.^

i agree

I think the higher ups are scared of saying anything because they know we're right and don't want higher PR ^.^

I am not saying anything because I am not sure I understand what you are indicating. If you are asking that true "power" be better represented, then I totally agree. I think the weapon allowance allows a lot of "power" to be hidden.

But tattoos? They all add to PR. So there is no hiding there. I am not entirely sure what you are referring to?

lostling September 23 2007 10:57 PM EDT

he just means weapons should be like tattoos :)

"If you are asking that true "power" be better represented"

Yep, pretty much what I'm trying to get at. Also, pointing out the fact that mage teams do not have any way to take advantage of this hidden power... well maybe with a big weapon on a wall minion, but boo to that. Let mage teams be able to use some sort of NW that doesn't increase their PR!

BootyGod September 23 2007 10:59 PM EDT

And armor, to be fair ^.^

QBsutekh137 September 23 2007 11:38 PM EDT

I've been trying to get at that pretty much forever, or at least since the NW-to-PR link was introduced... I'm pretty much just back in CB1 mode at the moment, knowing that if a team has 450 million NW as opposed to my 125, they are probably going to do pretty well against me (assuming MPR is roughly the same...) Total PR really doesn't tell the tale at all, which is why I think tanks still have an easier time growing up the ranks than mages -- better rewards from hidden PR.
