Limit Supporter items, they are too 'power'ful. (in General)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:13 AM EDT

Make all supporter items fit into a 'Power' Category.

Power Sword for the VB. Power Tattoo for the JKF. Etc.

And remove the BoM fromt he 'Power' category, it doesn't do anything to warrant such a limit.

Kong Ming September 28 2007 10:14 AM EDT

lol, then everyone must choose between a tattoo or using supporter items...

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] September 28 2007 10:15 AM EDT

does the ToJ really need to be in a power tat category?

I'm finding it difficult enough, my stubborness is the only thing keeping it ;)
And as far as the VB, mine is low NW yes but it is far from overpowered.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:16 AM EDT

Depend son how you limit the 'Power' category.

The JKF is a supporter tattoo. ;)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:17 AM EDT

Zog, the limitation of a 'Power' category would enable the JKF to be buffed in any areas it was currently lacking, and not become ZMOG OVERPOWER! ;)

Kong Ming September 28 2007 10:17 AM EDT

So the point is make people get rid of these "useless" supporter items?

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:19 AM EDT

The point is, the 'nerfing' the VB orignally took, wouldn't have been becessary, if it had been moved to a for of the 'Power Shield' category, and limited in some fashion.

Instead, to balance things, it had to take a hit to it's stats.

Kong Ming September 28 2007 10:20 AM EDT

So how will power category gears work? You cannot equip it together with a tattoo like a mage shield?

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:22 AM EDT

Stuff lke that. ;)

Can't say I've given any thought to the mechanics of this change. ;)

Kong Ming September 28 2007 10:25 AM EDT

Nice thought but needs fine tuning. At present, the power category has little meaning since there are only 2 shields with that tag ;) I won't mind since it won't affect my current team too much ;)

QBJohnnywas September 28 2007 10:26 AM EDT

Alternatively Jon could stop making 'useful' supporter items. Weapons with fixed stats; armours that don't change the mechanics of a fight. Or make them proper rares that spawn. There'd be even less of them then....

Kong Ming September 28 2007 10:27 AM EDT

But if its not useful, nobody would wanna buy them in the first place ;)

QBJohnnywas September 28 2007 10:27 AM EDT

Exactly. ;)

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:28 AM EDT

Origianlly they weren't the reason to buy supportership, and were fixed, so while they helped you start (like the GoP, a nice and upgraded, yet static weapon), they wouldn't last you forever, and you would be camping for that Loch at some point! ;)

But these supporter items are just too good and too cheap (I said it!) to get. οΎ£3 for an uber item is nothing.

QBJohnnywas September 28 2007 10:31 AM EDT

They're also too good right out of the box; plug and play. Unlike a Morg for instance which requires some cash input before it starts becoming useful.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:33 AM EDT

Like my HoC is still base.

I've never felt the need to upgrade the AC on it, or spend any cash on it.

It's good to go as is!

Flamey September 28 2007 10:33 AM EDT

A lot of people bought the low-level supporter items in CB1, Heck if the supporter items were just lowly items I'd still buy them.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] September 28 2007 10:35 AM EDT

Same. ;)
