Here is how I understand the change to work. Let's say 400k use to get your HoC to +10. Now it takes 375k to get to +6. The remaining 25k you've invested is not enough to get it to +7, so that amount is refunded to you.
All the above numbers are made up.

Anytime you gain money from a change, it means that the upgrade cost for an item has went down. That's all. So for your money, you get more now. But Jon won't just give you more. He just gives you the cash back lol.

the upgrade cost went up, and Jenni is correct.
