New Power Shield (in General)

Random idea...

Power shield for enchanters. Adds +1% to Enchantments, maybe -1 AC for each + or maybe a penalty to skills as well has ST and DX, make the curve similar to MgS??

since when do enchanters need AC?

mmm I see your point. there is no negative AC as of right now, and probably ever will be it seems. so scratch the negative AC idea. =)

Definitely a higher curve than the MgS, that'd be way overpowered. Maybe same curve as a Corn, still with only +1% enchantment.

Why a shield though? Make it a cloak or something, it doesn't have any defensive properties anyway. Plus you can't equip it on a tat equipping minion. Unless if that was your point...

No no, for no negative AC... I meant, you can't have a net negative AC on a minion. For example, equipping a base HoC on an enchanter with no AC to begin with... would leave him with 0 AC and not -5 AC. So there would be no penalty, seeing as enchanters usually have no AC to speak of.

And yes, I didn't want this to be used with a tattoo. Hence a power shield, plus there aren't many power shields out there =)

What if it only worked with ED spells...hence the 'shield' aspect.

I would like to see a new items that boosts Enchanments, not as powerful as Corn. But still a new item.

Anyone remember or know what happened when the Mage Shield got introduced, and why it got introduced? People were whining about a shield for mages and that was the end result.

you could make a Spiked Shield which give a old RoBF type of effect i.e. hits melee attackers for 3% of there damage back per plus or something
