New CB Script... (in General)

AdminQBVerifex October 4 2007 8:10 PM EDT

Hi everyone,

Another update of my script should be available now, if you don't see a message to update it, then go here: Link

I will fix the auto-update to be more "robust" in the next update. :)

Thanks for your work :D

I just started using it today. I'm not quite sure what everything means, but I am sure that it's all helpful ^^;

error: document is undefined
Code: 800A1291

SNK3R October 4 2007 11:39 PM EDT

What are you doing when you get this error?

AdminQBVerifex October 5 2007 2:55 AM EDT

Holy cow, thanks Leon and SNK!

Any other ideas for the script you guys would like? :)

48DangerZone October 5 2007 11:13 AM EDT

Error. I tried running it and saving.. Both errors. :(

bartjan October 5 2007 11:36 AM EDT

DangerZone, it's a script that requires Firefox and the GreaseMonkey extension. I see you're using: "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; FunWebProducts; yplus 5.5.04b)", which means you're using Internet Explorer and have a spyware problem.

Maelstrom October 5 2007 11:44 AM EDT

Does this version have the weird sound feature? That nearly scared me to death the first time it went off. And Firefox didn't remember to keep it turned off, so I had to comment it out in the code. Good thing I was at home, and not at work!

One suggestion would be to get rid of the sound, if you haven't already.

SNK3R October 5 2007 11:59 AM EDT

This version has the sound (he didn't mess with it from last version), though he did change the option so the choice of whether it's "OFF" or "ON" is remembered every time you refresh the sidebar or load up the window.

Just turn it to "off" and you're good. :)

Kong Ming October 5 2007 12:00 PM EDT

Yup, please let us off the sound for good. Regretted updating the sound part, did scare me off a few times when I had the volume really loud ;)

SNK3R October 5 2007 12:03 PM EDT

Why not just hit "Off" and never touch it again?

Maelstrom October 5 2007 12:38 PM EDT

SNK: The Off button didn't work in the previous version.

How about an option to get rid of all of those "Collapse Thread" buttons in the forums? And to disable the giant botcheck stuff.

bartjan October 5 2007 12:49 PM EDT

Mael: those sounds are the cause of the huge botchecks. Disable sound and you've disabled those as well.
I do not have anything collapsing in the threads. This is either because I use the classic forum layout, my Posts: are set to Off or my Sort is set to N.

Brakke Bres [Ow man] October 5 2007 12:56 PM EDT

try as i might i don't get any sounds at all

Maelstrom October 5 2007 1:00 PM EDT

Ah, setting the Posts button to Off disables those Collapse Thread buttons. Cool.

Glad to hear that everything is in order, then. ;)

Good job Verifex!

Maelstrom October 5 2007 1:01 PM EDT

And thanks bartjan, I hadn't realized that the classic forum layout was back. Hadn't Jon taken that away for a while?

bartjan October 5 2007 1:08 PM EDT

Not that I know of. I wouldn't have survived it.

SNK3R October 5 2007 1:13 PM EDT

He did for a very short while, but bart pleaded, and Jon gave it back. :)

SNK3R October 5 2007 1:15 PM EDT

Here, by the way.

Slashundhack [We Forge Our Own Stuff] October 5 2007 1:35 PM EDT

I actually like the sound feature a lot ! I wish you could have rotating sounds though you know a file were you could stick different sound samples in it and they would go through them all before it goes back to the first one.I can hear them now circus sounds followed by a jack hammer by a snoring spouse by a burp "AD INFINITUM" !

sooka October 5 2007 8:33 PM EDT

what is "training sets" and "bookmarks" they don't open for me when I select them. And I don't have the sounds. What do I do to enable? And is there a way to default the forum posts to expand all all the time? I find myself having to click expand all for each new thread.

Flamey October 5 2007 8:38 PM EDT

Have you tried pressing the question mark? It explains every feature of the script.

sooka October 5 2007 8:41 PM EDT

nope, it was semi hidden under the current winning streaks bar, thnx Flamey

Flamey October 5 2007 8:46 PM EDT

You can get it to stick instead of floating around, and it sits itself right under the "Current winning Streaks" nicely snug.

th00p (Reflex) 69.113.96.17 QBVerifex (Hot Pants) $2500000 -- New script - thanks! 10:03 PM EDT

Not just for this script, but for all the old ones too. They're phenomenal. Thanks 'fexy.

Trained XP: 22,658,394 Total exp: 23,066,211 Estimated VPR (untrained+trained exp): 582,748 Estimated Weapon Allowance: 38,405,977

That's from the train page. Why is it "XP" and "exp", isn't it the same thing?

th00p October 6 2007 12:04 PM EDT

if the E is really killing you, go into the script and manually change it ;-)

Miandrital October 7 2007 12:26 AM EDT

Can you do a floating preview box similar to the way the menu floats? You could fix it to the other side so that everything would still be visible.

AdminQBVerifex October 7 2007 4:40 AM EDT

Yes Mian, I was actually going to do that :) I just had lots of people asking me "when will this sound bug get fixed" so I decided to just release it and then work on it some more.

Flamey October 7 2007 4:51 AM EDT
