Tournament Auctions (in General)

I was reading in manage characters today, cause I will be making a new character soon, but anyway.
In the new character creation it says for tournament characters, "You will not be able to directly transfer items or money TO OR FROM this Character, but he will be able to participate normally in auctions and stores."
If you can participate normally in auctions, you will never be able to afford anything good from them much less get the item and still have the time to use it.
So here is my idea a tournament auctions, you can go there only as a tournament character and buy things you would be able to buy as a regular character. Just that in tournament auctions things spawn sooner and end sooner too.
Now the catch, any items you buy in tournament auctions would not be able to be transfered after the tournament was over.
This is my idea, even though I do not participate in tournaments, I figured give my thoughts to help those that do. Go ahead flame away, you will not hurt my feelings. Post ideas, comments.
Of course this might just be to hard to implement.

It's equally difficult for all tournament characters to get "good" items. A level playing field is what is needed for fair tournaments, not easy access to items that are overpowered for characters less than a week old.

I don't like new tournaments, I want to be able to transfer things "FROM" my tourney character at the end, and I don't like that we can't do this. Tourney auctions, I think we would be better off with a tourney store that provided us with all the items we could have during the course of the tourney.

The problem I have with tourney characters buying from the auctions is if what they are bidding on is a supporter item. Thus, they are pulling from the non-replenishable pool of supporter items.

Fexy: why? The current setup makes use of all the non-rares, and them getting deleted afterwards accounts partially for the fake money coming out of tourney BA.

Mitt: that's more than a little unlikely, I don't know what top money from a T char has been yet, but I seriously doubt someone could swipe a supporter item with the small change that's made. If we keep having two week tourneys, it's possible, but still unlikely.

big papa bid 1.8M on a HoC a while ago

Last tournament I ended up with 2m cash and about 200k nw, but that was with a 300% bonus. This one I only have 1.2m so far with a 50% bonus

Wow...I sit corrected.

I would like to say that as a tourney participator I have noticed that it is not always necessary nor is it logical just to save money and shoot for the rares. Especially during tournaments with tats you need to find small one asap then upgrade to big ones when you can and if you do go single minion you need to spend the other money you get on them. Take the mage tourney for instance adding as much + to your armor would have probably been more important than saving up the $$ in hopes of a CoI. I also personally sell all of my items at the end of tournaments so that it all gets filtered back into the system granted we lose the cb$ but it will always be there should Slayer want to pull it for tourney cash. In my opinion selling a mass amount of rares for just tourney chars wouldn't improve the competition at all because everyone can just get them anyway it would still come down to who can get the better strategy going the fastest and who can add the most x , + on their bows :P. These are all personal opinions therefore can't be wrong so HA! flame that :P.
