So my firefox just got updated and now chat won't work. It is just a blank frame with the same colour background as the rest of my CB. I did have the java installed and reinstalled it after it wasn't working to no avail. It doesn't work on IE either, so maybe it is something with vista. So any suggestions on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
yea, get rid of vista till they fix the bugs?
lol in all seriousness...you did restart your pc right O.o

Blarg, I've had the same problem.
I also have no idea how to fix it D:
you can try getting the standalone client running
You can open the java console and see what the error message is. It's probably a long exception that you can copy and paste here.

Nightstrike: when i click tools-> java console, it does nothing and then greys out
i used to have java be sneaky like that, it seemed like whenever i went to mouse over it...it disappeared... All i had to do to fix the problem was Restart my router...

I have the same issue as Blarg, and have tried reinstalling java console and/or restarting my computer, to no avail.
Have you resolved the problem? If so, how?
Any assistance is much appreciated.

i get the same problem with Java; additionally, the msg appears: "your version of Windows isn't compatible" and Java fails to install.
Hmm... Maybe this is why I can't get into chat on my laptop which runs Vista. Not sure if Java is even installed... I'll have to check into that.

Which version of Java is everyone trying to use? The current version is J2SE 1.6, which may not be supported by the chat tool. I'd say that you try installing Java 1.4.3, or Java 5.0.

Ok, I think it must be something with firefox because at college chat does not work using firefox but does with IE.
