Some help with my character. (in General)

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could provide me with some tips for my character "Might of Aargh". It used to be a pretty effective character, but now I've been wobbling around 700k score for weeks, unable to get much higher, and most of the people I can beat have a lower score than I do while before I was able to beat people that scored significantly higher than me.

Maybe I've just hit my 'limit' in Score/MPR for now, or maybe it's because I don't have enough good items (it's something I've been working on lately, but I haven't got a lot of CB$ and haven't been very lucky in the auctions so far), or even my Tattoo which is slowly becoming less and less % of my maximum, but I'd still like to see if anyone could give me some hints to improve my characters by shifting some stats around. I'm definately no pro at CB, so I'm sure there's room for improvement.

So far this is what I've got:
- Evasion Wall: Trains Ev and AMF equally with a small Prot (1/10th of Ev), I'm planning on switching AMF for DM if I ever manage to get a MgS on Phantom Wall, since between the Mageseeker and the Mage Shield I expect to have enough anti-mage stuff... The idea is that this guy stops most physical damage by being dodgy, and also helps with the rest by either AMF or DM.
- Enchanter: Trains only AS for now. Don't really know what to do with this one.
- Archer: Trains ST and DX to keep them roughly at the same level with the ToA added, trains Archery around the minimum required to keep a 1.00 effect, and a bit of HP, mostly for dealing with a combination of GA + big DM which I quickly found out would instakill him when I had him at 20 HP. Most of my good items are here. Almost all damage comes from this guy, obviously.
- Phantom Wall: Trains a lot of HP and a good bit of PL. I'm planning on slapping a TSA and MgS on him if I ever get enough money for those. His job is to prevent the others from getting damaged.

The general idea was that the Archer deals lots of damage with his Archery, ToA, and Beleg's, while the rest of the party protects him from all kinds of damage and keeps him alive long enough to do damage.

If your Mageseeker is not at least +50, you will not be able to hit anyone higher than you with your current setup. By the time you reach 750K MPR, you will need a +75 Mageseeker. At over 1M MPR, you will need a +100 Mageseeker.

All in all, your strategy will become extremely expensive if you keep it and you want it to be effective.

You will need to find a Mage Shield and a TSA for your PL wall and you will need to upgrade the MgS to a respectable level. Very Expensive.

You will need to find a pair of EB and an AoM for your tank.

You will need a pair of EB, a pair of EG, an EC, an EH and a Corn for your Evasion wall.

You will need a Corn for your AS enchanter.

Good luck.

my 2c worth....
rent an AOF put it on your evasion minion that would help plenty against tanks... then switch the placing of your 2nd and 3rd minions
you might want to consider taking AMF off your evasion wall and putting it on your AS enchanter so if you had a corn it would benefit both and that would also allow you to add more exp into evasion which is really useful

:) peace

Talion: Thanks. I kinda expected it would be expensive because I've read a few times that tanks are a lot more expensive to maintain than mages, but right now I don't want to change to whole strategy, just optimise it. Maybe when my NCB runs out and I'm still having trouble with it I'll start something new, but for now I guess I'm going to have to put in some money. My bow is +44 now so I guess it needs some work.

lostling: I've actually been thinking of halving AS and putting the XP into something else, but I can't really decide since I don't have a good idea of just how important the HP is in this strategy... Is losing the extra HP worth the extra Evasion?
