Halloween Items: putting the poo in spooky (in General)

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 27 2007 3:53 PM EDT

A while back during a thread about Necromancy as a spell someone mentioned another tank familiar. I liked it so much I modified it and posted. I don't think anyone noticed, but I figured with Halloween on our doors maybe we should have a thread about SPOOOKY items and such...

--
A Man of Dunharrow lvl 1,001

Trains HP, STR, DEX and VA (not subject to dispel) no skills (it's dead!) and attacks with a single slam attack a round. Immune to Decay, and resistant to magic.
--
JW was ranting about Vampiric UC again, I'd like to see the long desired UC Helm (maybe it could work for other damage types as well).

Nazgul skin Mask [0] + 6
--
A Burial Shroud [0] +13

Brings minion back to life after being killed (once), each plus is 10k HP when you revive.
--

Give us MORE sPOOky items!

The Familiar Of Damballah. Damballah is the Voodoo Snake God, and the familiar would be a decay minion. Damballah needs your souls!

The Amulet of Trick or Treat

Random chance of bonus to stats or penalty to stats during a round.

Happy Halloween!

Yeah...That would rock, the familiar, the Mask, and the Shroud? =D

Hope Jon does it...:D

"A Man of Dunharrow lvl 1,001"

I kind of like that one. Though if we're going for a tank-oriented tattoo how about something like this:

A Tattoo of, I don't know, Wall-ness or something.
Trains HP and Endurance ONLY. Used solely as an extra damage taker, maybe in the back to absorb that pesky Magic Missile.

Yeah, Jigorkano can be used in much the same way, and this one isn't spooky, and it sounds kind of passive and boring, but I think it could work.

The Burial Shroud thing I didn't like. I had problems with a resurrection glitch a while ago caused by a Trollskin Armor, and believe me, it ain't fun.

What if the items removed a % of the wears HP and had major negative AC?

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 27 2007 4:59 PM EDT

The Burial Shroud was supposed to fit in the body armor slot... I think negative AC is a bit harsh, but if that would get it implemented...

Map of the path of the dead [0] +3 - Gloves - Takes the wearer completely out of the action for a number of rounds equal to the plus on the gloves.

Fanta [Fanta's Forge] October 28 2007 1:45 PM EDT

Haha, that'd be cool... overpowered, but cool.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 28 2007 2:31 PM EDT

How Fanta? I'm figuring that each plus is going to more than double in cost, and it also prevents the wearer from protecting anyone, or doing any damage during those rounds.

Lord Bob October 28 2007 3:40 PM EDT

That would be a very interesting defense against ranged attackers.

Fanta [Fanta's Forge] October 28 2007 4:03 PM EDT

Put it on a single minion CoC mage or something, and waste all your opponent's ranged rounds if you have +4 - then you start every fight with a CoC on the first round, and your opponent, say an archer, loses all that damage he could have dealt in range and now either his bow starts missing or he switches to a melee weapon, which isn't his focus.

Drakon(DS) October 28 2007 8:53 PM EDT

i like the gloves idea but put it in boots instead or helm

lostling October 28 2007 8:56 PM EDT

helm make it a variable option to HOC :)

Brakke Bres [Ow man] October 28 2007 9:19 PM EDT

The Helm of uber DD, gives 1% DD enhancement.

Iluvatar[NK] October 28 2007 9:27 PM EDT

A Finger of Death [∞] (X), one handed weapon. Overrides DD and other melee weaponry.

∞ is... well, ∞. It kills no matter what.

X is the chance to cast [upgradeable] and is between 5 and 25, with exponential upgrade curve.

Ulord[NK] October 29 2007 2:05 AM EDT

Iluv:

That's even more overpowered than the old fod. It doesn't even cost exp anymore so you can dump everything into evasion, hp, amf... Reminds me of robf.

Good job :)
