An Nub Question (in General)

Ulord[NK] October 29 2007 2:03 AM EDT

I have a question for the admins.

I was a long time cb1 player and signed up to cb2 when it was first launched. I played for a short while, didn't accomplish much and left sometime in 2005. Now that I am back, I find myself practically a newbie but without the nub bonus. I'm wondering if I can start over as a nub in order to catch up. That is for me to register a new account. I'm not sure if there are any rules against multies or such. Thanks for your replies in advance.

I'm pretty certain that you will not be able to get a NUB or register a new account. The best you can get is the NCB.

hehe welcome back... you shouldn't reuse this acc in the first place, but now that you do.... you have to bribe every admins :)

Hail Nk the Magnificent from your most humble servant :)

I logged back on last week to see if any old friends are still around. To my pleasant surprise I found some. But I figure I'm in the most disadvantaged class of players - penniless, clueless about the new game dynamic and without nub. So it's been a mixed bag.

If I can get a clear answer from an admin as to whether or not I can start over, it'd be great. I am practically new at this game and I'm happy to relinquish whatever I have now. Thanks.

The easy answer (you don't have to be an admin to know this) is NO. One player One account.

Returning players have the NCB. The NUB is a once only thing. Run a mage team NCB and save up money. You'll soon find you can afford some of the rares and get to know the game again pretty quickly.

Don't be tempted to to do the multi thing - drop this account and start a new one under a different name; as you'll probably remember the admins have pretty advanced magic powers and will track you down.

Make the most of the NCB, it's what it's there for. Read the Wiki inside out; it's got everything you'll need to make a go of it again.

Good luck and welcome back! ;)

as JW said the answer is no, and when you first signed up it was one of the terms of agreement.

"You agree to use one and only one account."

I'm sorry Ulord but allowing players to restart with a NUB bonus is not allowed. I know that kinda sucks but that's the way it has to be. Allowing one person to "return" with a NUB would mean it would be unfair not to allow everyone to restart. You can imagine the can of worms that would open...

It's good to see that you've taken the trouble to approach it in the right manner and ask in the forums. Many people don't bother and it's only after they've been caught that they start to discuss. For that you should be applauded.

That said, the NCB ain't all that bad. My own main char is in the top 30 MPR and he didn't start with all that much in the way of equipment. On top of that I didn't buy a single BA throughout the whole period. I'm sure you can do well from a standing start and be competitive in no time. Don't listen to all the folks that tell you that you can't ;)

Thanks for the replies. I'll stick around i guess, playing casually.
