Why not be able to edit your FS/WTB posts, for the sake of organization/readability, etc?
Thoughts?

I think FS/WTB threads should be able to be edited, same with general and off-topic. It would be pretty convenient and would help keep things 'clean'.
That said, I think PR and Contests opening posts should not be able to be edited for obvious reasons.
Well you can make it bump the thread up, at the cost of 2k, like right now.

Awesome Idea!!!

I don't want this thread to die :( I think it'd be a really good addition to the FS/WTB threads and even Off-Topic and General...
Not possible because it's a cash sink?
That's my guess. The 2000k it costs to re-post is a cash sink so I doubt it will go away.
Not sure that I understand what you mean correctly, but editing the FS/WTB post for updating or bumping purposes will still cost 2k.

following that logic, it would still cost 2k, so just put a new reply in? with the edited info?

"Why not be able to edit your FS/WTB posts, for the sake of organization/readability, etc? "
Alternatively people could read through their posts properly before clicking submit and confirm?
That's not the point - you edit your post for updated info, like current bids, whatever.

Since the owner is the only one who can reply to the original thread I say: Why not?
Good idea.
Do a history search and read the many threads detailing why we don't have editing capabilities.

Obviously it's not hard to see the history of edits. Besides, you'd be doing it on something that wasn't an already done deal. He said not PR threads.
