Child's Play Charity 2007 - for the children! (in Public Record)

Welcome to the Child's Play Charity 2007 thread!

Each year, Penny Arcade asks for donations from gamers to help provide games and toys for children's hospitals for the sick children to play on. We here at Carnage Blender are now entering December, and it is almost at the end of the year! Let's show our generosity and help the children this year...

Last year we managed to put together nearly $400 for the children. The way this charity works is simple: You send a CBD or item donation to the Charity account character, ChildsPlay2007, and at the end of this Charity event we will sell the CBD collected for USD to the highest bidders. I will then collect the USD on my PayPal account and send it in to Child's Play as a donation on behalf of www.carnageblender.com - so whether you can spend USD or simply can donate CBD, you can help give to the children!

What's the deadline for the donation?

As with previous years, if anyone wants to donate any unused characters, (that are worth something) then I'm sure I speak for the rest of the admins when I say just let us know and we'll make the xfrs happen at zero cost.

Xfrs to and from Charity will be covered.

I have made 2 more characters for items to be sent to ChildsPlayCharity2 and ChildsPlayCharity3

So if OOB's overflow char is full, send items there

Thanks to everyone for your generosity, and thanks to Beee for his helpfulness and the usage of the Charity account! Keep 'em coming, I think I'll start a Charity sale in a day or so to get these items shifting!

Hey guys. I'm wondering if you would take paypal donations. I am running tight in CB cash and I wouldn't mind pitching in 20 bucks. The only thing is that I'll have to use credit card. Is that cool?

That's totally acceptable, though my PayPal can only take a few CC transactions/year and some of the money is lost along the way due to PayPal fees. ^_^ I'll CM you with details as to where to send the money.

I think this thread, above all others, deserves a great big BUMP!

Just thought id add. I convinced my family to donate too..i told them i would match any donation they made...well lets just say 200USD is for the sick kids this year...props to my parents for the big donation...time to go make mine now too. ( i got them involved )

While this site is half-new and half-old due to the engine, I don't think I deserve the prize money for the contest over a year ago. Children deserve it more =).
