Rangers Robf Vs. 3 mil level Robf = no contest (in General)

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] December 17 2007 9:34 PM EST

Need I say more? My Robf always hit his for nil damage, and you tell me robf isn't overpowered LOL...

BootyGod December 17 2007 10:06 PM EST

Well... If he used a ToA and you used a ToA, wouldn't it be the same thing? You'd miss, he'd break the game with his damage....?

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] December 17 2007 10:15 PM EST

Nahh JetBlack it would be along the lines of... He would miss until melee and I would do no damage due to EC...

My Robf always hit his for nil damage

Wait, isn't it supposed to be that way? The bigger one cancels out the smaller one, and the effect of the smaller one subtracts from the effect of the bigger one, lowering the damage the bigger one does?

Or is that part the overpowered part?

Fanta [Fanta's Forge] December 18 2007 12:32 AM EST

Make a cap on the damage it can reduce and everyone's happy. :) I think.

:D

The RoBF is overpowered because it can't hurt a larger verison of itself!

Nerf the RoBF!

So a smaller version can win versus a bigger one!

Or maybe this is yet another example of how the direct damage reduciton sucks?

"Make a cap on the damage it can reduce and everyone's happy. :) I think."

if any damage mitigation caps are introduced into the game then all types of damage reductions need caps as well. the mage shield should be one of the first ones!

i have been a proponent of damage reduction caps for a while now and think they are needed badly.

horseguy001 [Blender 2021] December 18 2007 8:02 PM EST

I think the MgS has a cap at +50, no point in going any higher because it only reduces 50% of damage ;)

Iluvatar[NK] December 18 2007 8:14 PM EST

ToE has damage reduction cap. I don't see why RoBF and MgS and other such items shouldn't.

Lord Bob December 18 2007 8:53 PM EST

"I think the MgS has a cap at +50, no point in going any higher because it only reduces 50% of damage "

<Jonathan> there hasn't been a cap on MgS in ages , hence no cap on the amount of reduction a Mage Shield can do.

Rubberduck[T] [Hell Blenders] December 18 2007 8:57 PM EST

The RoBF does have a cap doesn't it?

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 19 2007 6:15 AM EST

RD, the RoBF has no cap. It's a fixed reduction that can take damage to zero.

Ah the MgS. I remember when we originally asked "What happened if we get a Named MgS to +50?"

Jon replied with "Ask me again when someone does. That thing is frightfully expensive." ;)
