Stat Question/Advice (in General)

I am changing my strat up.

I already have a four minion team and want to change it up.

I am thinking about redistributing all the xp into something like this

minion 1 4/5 antimagic field 1/5 evasion

minion 2 100% ablative shield

minion 3 tsa/morg with vampiric aura

minion 4 not sure what to do with

now i am not sure if having vampirc aura will work as I have never dealt with it much. any advice here would be grand
also what should number 4 do if anything? i could just keep mm on him for giggles i guess.

Firstly, I should preface this by saying that I have never run a tank character.

Now I will address what I see as being the problems with this character:

1) XP Dilution. VA on the 3rd minion will probably never get used (opponents' DM will nuke it 100% of the time if you fight DM users). The evasion on the first minion will probably also be useless, since it is so small. The ablative shield on the second minion is OK, but sort of pointless, since you won't be providing your team with enough HP from that (unless you equip a RoS) to keep your minions alive. And EC on the last minion appears to be a _bad_ idea - not enough XP will be invested into it.

2) Too "general" - this strat seems aimed at all types of characters. You have some AMF to nuke mages, and EC on the 4th minion to nuke tanks, some HP for the team and then a tank of your own.

In short, it means that any specialised mage team will eat you alive, and any specialised tank team probably will also (especially since the AMF/Evasion minion and the EC minion are both wasted XP against a good tank).

--------------------------------

Modifications:

Firstly, decide whether you want to take out mages or tanks.

If mages, train AMF on both minion 3 and 4. Don't train any evasion. Minion 2 should train AS and wear a RoS. Your tank should move to position 1 and wear an AoI.
Voila, instant mage ownage.

If tanks.. well, it gets a bit tricky. Training EC on minions 1, 2 and 4 doesn't really help you, because you might not be putting out enough damage (even with ToA and a big Morg) to kill all minions in 25 rounds if they have a massive wall with a big prot and ToE, OR you might get killed by opponent GA or RoBF etc. So, I would probably go with something different, like EETW, training 2 giant strengths on your enchanters, and using a large PTH morg on your tank. Just make sure you don't fight too many DM teams ;-)

Anyway, best of luck - I hope that my post gives you some ideas, even though my understanding of tank strats is very limited.

Cheers,
muon.

Getting bot AMF and EC is a very bad idea. If you can't pull enough EC to nullify strength entirely, might as well not get it. If you are relying on a melee tank in a four minion set up to do damage, you will have to use a ToA, or you won't be hitting anybody. The exp dilution on the tank makes it very hard to play as is. Without full EC support, I do not see a 4 minion tank team survive. You'll at the very least need to use an RoE on the tank for a lonnng time to put it ahead. Alternatively, play a one minion tank for ncb period and add minions(very expensive). If you insist on going with your current strategy, I suggest that you go with a large EC and use ToA on the tank. Then again, an archer would do a lot better in that scenario. Needless to say, 4 minion melee tank is hard to play.
