"From: system (5:24 AM EST)
Doomed was auto-disbanded for having a weekly cumulative score of under -1000."
Ok, I got this morning. Now I understand what this means. But what I don't understand is that during the past week I've been consistently receiving clan bonus, apart from one night when I fell out of the bonus range.
Now is 'cumulative score' some sort of average taken from the weeks various scores? I did get farmed a lot, but if I was consistently receiving bonus, doesn't that mean that I was consistently in the positive?
I'm not complaining, just curious. And I'm wondering if I should just stay well away from clans. I think this is the SEVENTH clan that I've killed in this fashion......;)
Was this another singleton clan Johnny? Or did you have a member leave?
There's been a continuing issue of clan members leaving, thier positive points not counting any more, but the negatives they racked up still do.
Causing a clan that was fine to suddenly drop below the 1000 point threshold and auto disband without the other members being able to do anything about it.

Singleton clan.
Yeah, I've killed off a couple of clans by getting farmed into the ground, and then leaving. I think I killed Fierce Invalids doing that once....
I don't like this auto disband thing. Especially when there are inactive clans out there still in existence. I also don't like the way that, once a clan is disbanded, it is as if it never existed in the stats.
getting a clan bonus just means you're better than other clans, not that you're receiving a positive score or a score above -1000

yeah, put like that I see the other side; it means I'm scoring more than them, even though I may be getting farmed more. Hmmm. I'm definitely staying away from clans for a while. :)
What can I say, it was "Doomed" from the beginning. ;)

There was a forum post a while ago about mid-level clan members being farmed into the ground.
An idea occurred to me and may be relevant to JW's cause too.
Maybe CP could be awarded based on the target clan's standings.
e.g. non-clan - 1 point, non-bonus clan - 2 points, then 3-6 points based on being in the bottom, middle or top third of the scoring clans.
So instead of if clan-bonus > 0 then allocate 6 CP
It would be broken down by if clan-ranking < X then allocate 6 CP
That way, it JW his 15% bonus for an hour he may get farmed more, but once the world+dog has annihilated his score and he's only getting 2% then he's less of a prime target for at least an hour.
This might work for the mid-level folks too.
If this were the case, BR, for example would be able to pick maximum point targets all the time because they can kill anyone but on the other hand there would be less incentive for clans to over-farm.
There are probably other good reasons why this would suck including CP hunting becoming more complicated and just because clan playing is supposed to be harsh.

negative clans (and ones with 0 score) won't receive a bonus that i know of...
