I wonder if this strategy is still ok in the long run? Is it worth trying?

The ToA doesn't provide the PTh needed any longer, and GA return will still slaughter you before you get anywhere near firing the CoC. You'll only really beat weak mages with no evasion and smaller chars.

So, you mean this line
"PTH bonus is 1/3 of Tattoo's net worth added to the PTH of your weapon. "
in the wiki is wrong ?

No, the Wiki is right, but that doesn't necessarily add up to a great deal of PTH. Not like the ToA gave before the change.
