NUB/NCB/Nothing... (in General)

Armageddon February 5 2008 7:48 PM EST

I was just wondering what the differences are so I could plan more accordingly.

What I know:
-NUB = Free BA/ Extra Money
-NUB = Buy BA/ Extra Money
-Regular = ???

If anyone could help correct me and fill in gaps that are missing, that would be great. Minor details would be appreciated too.

"-NUB = Free BA/ Extra Money

-Regular = ???"

More like...

NUB: Free BA, extra XP.
NCB: Ridiculously expensive BA, extra XP.
None: Normal XP, normal-priced BA.

NUB also has extra money, in case it matters.

err... never mind. Didn't see that had already been filled in. Haven't woken up properly yet.

"NUB: Free BA, extra XP.

More like:

NUB: Free BA, extra money and XP.
NCB: Ridiculously expensive BA, extra XP
None: Decent BA cost, normal money and XP

Granted, as a NUB user, your views of normal are likely a bit off. So feel free to look at it as "None: Semi-expensive BA, low money and XP"...

NCB also has normal money*

*would easily be considered low by someone fresh off a NUB...

Is the money for BA worth it for a NCB?
or
Should I just make a regular character?

You should play based on what you want to accomplish. If your goal is to get into top 20 and 6/20, then you should start an ncb if and only if your current regular character + 4 months of regular growth is impossible to surpass with an ncb, given the resources you have. How far you can get with an ncb depends on how much money you have to buy BA and if and how many minions you plan to hire at what level. Another reason to restart with an ncb is if your current setup is crappy beyond retrain.

When playing a high level normal character, you must buy ba each day if you want to keep up with the top growth and have a shot at 6/20. RoE use is also encouraged.

If you plan to make money, make an ncb and level it up. Hang around 750k mpr for maximum reward while still having 100% CB. You can use any number of cookie cutter strategies to get to that level. You'll easily rake in 500k a day. Who needs forging with that sort of instant cash.

As for nub, it's every vet's wet dream. Use it while you still can.

Some rough number to consider:

An ncb will spend 40mil on BA throughout its lifetime.
You can get to around 1.8mil MPR buying BA.
Each additional minion will give you around 150k more MPR (roughly). Each minion at that level would cost easily over 30mil.
I guess using my assumption, the theoretical maximum mpr for an NCB is 2.3mil, give or take.

This is only important if you are hell bent on reaching the top. Or you can always wait a long time for one of the top character to sell. These numbers are just my rough estimates. Correct me if I'm wrong.

NUB: NUBs who signed up before Dec. 7th 2007 get ridiculously high forging capabilities, its annoying to see people with 500k MPR getting 1.2 mil+ NW forged in 24 hours. And then once they're done be like, "Oh, i cant fight or forge to make ANYTHING worth while." and then leave.
