Before I retire my character... (in General)

... I want to make sure that I'm not making a mistake.

I have a main character right now who has almost 2 months of NCB left. Now, I've realized that I missed some key development opportunities for this character early on in this NCB, which has got me thinking that I should start a new NCB. I'm concerned, though, because only one character can have an NCB at one time.

If I retire this character, would it sit there, retired, with an unexpired bonus, making me unable to create a new NCB character until April 4th? Does the bonus go away when it's retired, or do I have to sell it to someone in order to get it completely off my account to restart?

And while the topic is brought up, do people want single-minion 1M+ MPR characters, and should I try to sell it, rather than retire it?

Thanks for your input.

It depends on if you created the NCB char yourself or if you had it sent to you... If you created it yourself... no matter who you send it to or if you retire it the bonus will remain till it expires and you won't be able to create a new NCB char. While if it was sent to you, you should be able to retire it and make your own NCB.

I created it myself.

So you're saying that, because I created it myself, I can't make a new NCB even if I transfer it off my account to someone else?

correct, however if you find someone to make a ncb and transfer the char to you... you can get a new NCB :P

Oh, you're tricky. I like you, yes.

Who wants to do it?

I'd be willing to sell you an NCB.

How much are transfers on starting level NCB characters?

TheHatchetman February 11 2008 9:02 PM EST

50k is transfer cost.

i would advice to wait for change month to end before you start new ncb :P

Lord Bob February 11 2008 9:36 PM EST

"50k is transfer cost."

Then I'd be willing to let mine go for an easy million, no transfer fee reimbursement.

In my experience, none of these is the case. I have a retired character, TheUntouchable, which still has about 10 days of NCB left. However, my main char, The One UC, is a new NCB I started 2 months later. So iono, maybe some changes have been made, but I was still able to make a new NCB. :)
