Did you copy that from Facebook?

A lunar eclipse? NO WAY! I'll like... be able to look up at the dark sky, and see nothing in it! It'll be like nothing that's ever happened since the at least the beginning of this Lunar Cycle, unless there's been a cloudy night since then...

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what's so exciting about NOT-seeing the moon. Just don't go outside, if that's your goal.

Relax, tha moon going away won't hurt... At least it's not crashing into the planet and forcing us all to get masks and whatnot... :P

Hey man, it's not about NOT seeing the moon. It's about seeing the Earth's shadow as the moon moves behind it (from the Sun's point of view). This is the great chance to show all the nay-sayers that the Earth is not flat. The shadow will clearly show it is round!!!

/me grumbles. *I still haven't been able to easily prove that man actually stepped on the moon though.*

The Earth is round. The Earth is round. The Earth is round!!!!

Koshka February 19 2008 8:49 AM EST

Sorry, it's clearly flat. Any fool can see that.
Next you'll be saying there's no elephants or turtle...

it actually turns purty colors throughout the process.

Hey folks, just a reminder the total eclipse is coming up in about 2 hours.

All that proves is that the earth is circular. Clearly, the earth is pizza-shaped:
Circular and Flat!

Thraklight Resonance February 20 2008 10:26 PM EST
