Target practice (in Contests)

I need to find better targets and I will pay you to try finding them for me.
my build:
minion 1:
HP/Str/Dx?archery at 1.00

everything else AMF

I will pay you 2k for every challenge bonus % above 30 and -500 for every target you find that I can't beat consistently. The prize pool is limited to 500k. my MPR is 1.2m

It's quite obvious that you will need to hit mage targets. My advice to you is to buff up your hp to maximize TSA regeneration and keep pumping up AMF. You will be able to make some of the bigger mages kill themselves through amf. Other than that, you can always try stripping down your gear while fighting to squeeze in some extra CB. You should be levelling your tatt at this point if it is fairly sized.

While you'd likely be missing the levels you could get fighting with it. The only way I see you getting a challenge bonus over 30% is to drop toe ToE... =/

Currently, for 30%+ CB, you need to be fighting ~2.1m score... :P

No, he'd have to fight people with a score > 1.56 million to get > 30% challenge bonus. An opponent with 2.1 million score would give him 100% challenge bonus.

Challenge bonuses are based on PR, not MPR.

Switch from a ToE to a ToA, put it on your archer. Train some dex on your archer. You'll see some new targets.

Running an endurance tank with an a low dex archer is a little useless; keeping him alive longer than ranged when the dex is that low, and gets even lower thanks to the penalty for using a bow in melee....it simply means you're placing yourself in a bad situation for wins. If you continue with the strat you have it'll help you loads to place a melee weapon on your tank. Again, do that and I suspect you'll find some more people to fight. But really, train dex.

could you post your ELB, DB & MgS stats and also roughly what score = 30% CB?

I agree with JW btw. Try BG over TG and train DX, maybe even unlearning ST and redistributing that xp a bit.

I misread and thought he posted his PR. Hatchet is right with the 2.1 million for 30%.

but that makes my strength set really bad. I do want to maximise the gear I have, but I guess I need about 2-1 ratio on STR/DX. and I suppose a melee would be the best thing I can do now.

If you want to play dedicated anti mage, run evasion tank. Archery tanks as small as yours will not do well without the proper backup. You won't ever get through the evasion wall with such low dex. Essentially, the only way for you to kill decent mage team is for them to blow themselves up on your amf. You also lose to about every other tank team out there. (a mageseeker would be a different story). Sod works great here, you can also use evasion + a good exbow. Shut down tank in ranged while avoiding hits and cripple mages with mgs + toe + amf. Get a decent melee weapon (morg is good) to mop up.

Don't use Evasion & a Mageseeker at the same time. You basically can't use a bow without Archery, unless it has a massive PTH, as in very very massive. (Also in that case you would not need dex because it wouldn't help anyways)

didn't realize msk is a bow, I mean a xbow or sod.

the spellchecker still doesn't recognize the realize with a s instead of z. how annoying, that's how I and the rest of the non-US world spells it.
