Right.... so my half break from cb is coming to an end.... i been forging for over 6 months now and my desire to play cb again has grown however my CB knowledge on strats has gone from like 70% of knowing to 10%.... would like a quick recap if possible :))

I'm trying to plan out what items to buy for my future NCB, My main focus will be tank .... i've never thought melee weapons have been any good since i started so will be going some sort of archer though not sure which....

Please leave me any advice you can E.G. Equip i should defenitly go for or enchantments i should train :)

I just want to get back into the addictivness of cb which i lost but now am hungry for :)) Thanks for reading

It really depends on the financial commitment you want to make. A full fledged archer team can expect to spend some ugly money on getting a large enough bow and tattoo to get the job done.

How many minions are you looking at having?
Are you prepared to have a small fightlist because of the many evasion heavy teams out there?
Is there any strat you remember really NOT wanting to lose to?

Well the money part wont be 'much' of a problem as i can build my team steadily and be prepared for my NCB..... i used to have an ELB x2200 +101 but to be good i know that is horribly small....

Minions would have to be a thing you guys would help me with.... i know for a archer you tons of xp in DX so probx 2/3 max minions....

Small fightlist.... well yeah i'd cope as my aol on pc is slow so can just fight that one person and still keep it moving without pulling my teeth out...

No strats i hated.... though I'd like to be able to have a solid strat... however yes reading through forums evasion is a killer.....

If you're going archer, stay single for as long as you can hold out for. If you're using an ELB, either use a RoE or a ToA. Get some Belegs and boost them as much as you can. Your bow is a decent size. However you won't be able to use it for a while. As a rough guide, my 50 million NW SoD wouldn't go onto a minion without adding to PR until a single minion was sitting around 600k MPR.

So you'll need other bows in the run up. Rentals is good for that!

Train HP/St/Dex - even if you're using a ToA; you want a lot of dex - archery and DM. Although you might want to think about AMF if you're using an ELB instead of a mageseeker. Finish it off with protection. You can get quite a lot of protection for a small investment of XP.

If you're using a ToA you can add other minions at a lower level; you'll not need as much XP to put into your tank because of the ToA. But you would be better off with as large a minion as possible. A good tank should be as strong as you can get and as fast. Wimpy tanks are not worth the time.

oh and don't forget the Helm Of Clearsight.

Hopefully that makes sense to you!

thanks Johnny... i haven't actually got that bow anymore.... :p Good advice though .... the strats are all coming back to me slowly now :))

I would recommend going mage because of the high costs of maintaining a tank team. Go for a simple mage or familiar setup and earn the cash for bigger things to come.

i suggest double team of msb + xbow... if you have the money if you do not then maybe a mage based build...

BluBBen March 15 2008 11:57 AM EDT

I wouldn't say that a double tank team would do you any good, even if you have lots of money to start with it's hard to get enough damage out from two tanks. G have succeeded with that but it's mainly because he got the largest ELB and the largest MKS in the game.

A mage team would be recommended to start building up some money to use on a later tank team.

Or maybe you could start out with a tank with a base weapon and upgrade it as your character growths but I'm not sure how that would work as I have never done that. It would be interesting to see if anyone have experience if it's possible to do this. Is it?
