i heard the main gauche has the least steep PTh curve.... can anyone else confirm this?... or can someone please rank the curves for me please :) thx
This is actually something that i have been wanting to test out. So far the cheapest i have seen is the dagger. I myself am upgrading a whip which has a PTH curve that is about 3.25% more than a dagger's.
During the next tourney I am planning to find out how much relatively the PTH curves are for all the cheap end weapons.

more = lesser? or do you mean more expensive?

Well, the cheaper the x the more expensive the + and vice-versa...

Do you have proof to back that up? You are aware that the big 5 are all the same upgrade curve? How do you get that their is that much of a difference... and that the x is more expensive than the plus?

From what I gather, the only reason why the x is different but + is identical on the "big five" is because of the extra abilities and the 1h-vs-2h thing.
Other than that, no-ability weapons of same "hand count" should be following the progression as initially stated (bigger x cost, smaller + cost).
There might be differences for 1h vs 2h weapon x vs + costs, but not for those of same "handedness".
As for proof, I guess all you need to do is look around the melee weapon NPC store and extrapolate values.
Would help if somebody actually filled the x/+ values in the respective wiki pages after creation, but meh, a lot of work for practically no significant advantage.
So why do DB have the same upgrade curve as the + of the Big 5?

"Low-level melee weapons are never accepted by the blacksmith unless the owner is a Tournament Character."
Wait until the next tournament and test.

That's quoted straight from the blacksmith page, no idea what the definition is.
