EXP Bonus (in General)

deifeln April 2 2008 3:30 PM EDT

What is CB gave an EXP bonus to those non-NUB/NCB users that used 95% of all available BA for a minimum time period (say five days). This would remain until the person dropped below 95% BA usage. This bonus could be proportional to the BA refresh rate. Meaning you could obtain a higer bonus at the 8/20 rate (say 8%) then at the 6/20 rate (say 6%). This would give 'established' characters an extra kick and possibly encourage more visits to CB.

that just have everyone grow faster.

lol i think you got it backwards... if there's any bonus it should be applied to those who use the least BA

Levon, i think you have it backwards, reward those who dont do anything?

PainKiller,

This would only help very active users grow faster. And it would help those at lower refresh rates gain some advantage (though small) to catch up to better rates.

Another one of those "It's not our problem you're in school" ideas?

Isn't actually using all of your BA (compared to not using it all) bonus enough?

Nice idea, deifeln.

Another take on this idea would be, [if the NCB data is available], to factor in the total number of fights in the NCB period, and the NCB bonus at that time; and provide the proportional bonus as would accrue in today's NCB bonus. This will remove the objection that only lazy people want such a bonus, because this bonus will only apply to work actually done in the NCB period, and is merely an adjustment to bring the character on par with the current NCB calculations.

For instance, my char MI5 fought diligently throughout the NCB period, but the bonus then was only half of what it is now; so, by the above reckoning, MI5 can obtain an extra NCB period proportional to the total challenged fights in the NCB period [i.e., battles challenged during NCB] that will adjust the then bonus to today's bonus.

guy... an EXP bonus isn't a reward... it's to compensate for people who don't have the time that you have to play... corresponds with NUB bonus, which compensates for people who started late

lostling April 2 2008 7:21 PM EDT

yea sure then everyone will end up at the same mpr?

Levon [Clocked Out] April 2 2008 7:51 PM EDT

oy vei... if we all played the same way, and all of the bonuses were linear, then yes, we would all have the same mpr if we all want the same outcome :p

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] April 2 2008 7:52 PM EDT

Levon, are you thinking about what you type? That makes no sense... This would just make everyone make new accounts, fight the first day, and dont fight again till the last week or so of their NUB and Yay, they get to 3 mil MPR in 1 week.

Levon [Clocked Out] April 2 2008 9:19 PM EDT

oy vei... take a step back, and re-read my posts

now, moving forward, people who can use all of their BA are already awarded by being allowed to participate in battle clans... people who can't use all of their BA don't get any bonus

if you want to get richer for nothing, increase the clan bonus
