Increased auction bid by $0 (in General)

I've got a 3.5M bid down on a corn in the AH.

The next highest bid is 3.5M. So I clicked on it and increased my current bid by $0. ;)

Is this the way it should work? Has the bid increment not increased because of the Buy Now (4M)? But doesn't it usually say something about can't bid as they would take you over the buy now?

:/

I think you will only be able to do this if you are the current bidder.

Some thing strange actually happened to me in auctions the other day also, sadly I forgot to note it so it can't really be addressed I know.
But, what had happened was...
I put in a bid and was the high bidder at my max bid. I considered the amount for a moment then decided I wanted a cushion and would go a bit higher. I raised my fundage and the auctioneer didn't just add it to my max bid, but he raised what my current winning bid was. No one else's bids showed up so it shouldn't have been that I was out bidding anyone.
Just a lil info for people to keep an eye out for.

And ya know what, sorry GL, it just occurred to me that tho a related issue, I kinda hijacked your thread!
So, on a related note, with you as the only bidder the next highest bid is showing up as 3,675,000 which is clearly below the BIN.
I have issues sometimes with the Bid amount in the box not changing to what the next high bid would need to be but I had always related it to my not refreshing and stored cookies and such. I dunno.

LoL! NP. ;)

I'm still seeing the current price and next bid as 3.5M ;)
