I will be posting what kind of quote i need from the book and your job is to find me some support. Will be giving 100k to the quote that gives me the best support and 500k if your quote is already being used in my paper.

so lets start with

Eventually, this statement leads Montag to rebel against his job and what it stands for. He also finds out that he has no connection to his wife and that the society in which he lives is a brainwashed dystopia.

Can you find me better support than what I already have in my paper, or match what I have already quoted?

ps. Im so bored doing this paper, help me pepper in some fun

"Ask no guarantees, ask for no security, there never was such an animal. And if there were, it would be related to the great sloth which hangs upside down in a tree all day every day, sleeping its life away."

I'll try and track down my copy in this madhouse. I need to reread it anyway.

I'm still not entirely clear on the exact point you're going for...

i am talking about how he looses his connection to his wife basically

hint...tv parlors

"You're not like the others. I've seen a few; I know. When I talk, you look at me. When I said something about the moon, you looked at the moon, last night. The others would never do that. The others would walk off and leave me talking. Or threaten me. No one has time any more for anyone else. You're one of the few who put up with me. That's why I think it's so strange you're a fireman, it just doesn't seem right for you, somehow. "

Hunting for the dang pagenumber.

"Mildred kicked at a book. "Books aren't people. You read and I look all around, but there isn't anybody!"
He stared at the parlor that was dead and gray as the waters of an ocean that might teem with life if they switched on the electronic sun
"Now," said Mildred, "My 'family' is people. They tell me things: I laugh, they laugh! And the colours!"
"Yes, I know.""

She was the first person in a good many years I've really liked. She was the first person I can remember who looked straight at me as if I counted."

"Mildred", he said, at last. There are too many of us, he thought. There are billions of us and that's too many. Nobody knows anyone (page 19 in my copy, that's the scene where Montags wife is reanimated)

"Are you happy?" she said. "Am I what?" he cried. But she was gone - running in the moonlight. (page 14, Montags first meeting with Clarisse)

"When did we meet? And where?" [...] "Funny, how funny, not to remember where or when you met your husband or wife"
[...]
"if she died, he was certain he wouldn't cry. For it would be the dying of an unknown, a street face, a newspaper image, and it was suddenly so very wrong that he had begund to cry, not at death but at the thought of _not_crying_ at death, a silly empty man near a silly empty woman, while the hungry snake made her still more empty" (page 42/43, Montag tries to talk to his wife, after he has just burned the woman in her house)

that's it for now, hope you can use some of these. Btw page numbers are probably different in your copy, since my copy is from Germany with vocabulary on each page ;-)
