BA regeneration (in General)

this really sucks in 9 hours i have regenerated only 150ba when i should have regenerated at 6/20 rate 162, this is a fair amount of ba if it loses twice this in a day and over the course of an ncb or nub can end up costing a fair bit of ba. Now that is seriously wrong and i think its about time jon looked into fixing something that is supposed to be constant as well as a base for this game.

I agree. I've noticed that after any more then 3 refreshes I'll start getting incorrect amounts of BA.

I have noticed that BA doesn't alway spawn at exactly :00, :20 and :40 anymore, but up to 7 minutes or so later. This could explain what you are seeing, if it did spawn early right before you started your measurement and spawned late right after you stopped looking. On average, you're missing no BA this way.

I've noticed that too, but if I started with 0 BA and take the current amount of BA I have, divide by 7 and end up 8.6 refreshes or something like that, I must not be getting 7 BA per refresh. Also sometimes I've gone to the forge to check how much BA I have and watched the amount go up by 4.

My BA regens very late after the :00/:20/:40 marks, like Bart said. As i stated in a previous thread of same topic:

"I notice that if you go afk, you seem to get fewer than your said BA regen amount, maybe 6 one refresh, 5 another, and then even 3 the one after, it's random. I've also noticed if you stay and wait for the BA refresh, you will get your regular amount that you are supposed to."

well, I've been down that road too. But lately, it has been normal for me, though I haven't checked it anymore for a while now...
Either way, the problem is existant and it seems to wail around the place, going from one of group of people to the next.

it has been messed up at least since the change to 20 minute refreshes as opposed to 10. this is often stated as the definitive answer to the problem:

"Q: Is it possible to get less BA than I normally would at refresh time?

A: Yes; when your BA is (re)loaded for various reasons you will get BA proportional to the amount of time passed; it is possible to get fractional amounts of the normal refresh rate this way."

i think that the powers that be assume this is what everyone is talking about, but we are speaking of two different things. in the above case, at the next refresh you should get your normal amount and end up with extra ba, not less than normal.

i am not sure how to convince them to take this more seriously or to look at the issue. it would seem to me that jon would be able to look at ba refreshes for individuals and see how many are not up to par and how often this occurs and then go from there.

i will say that it rarely happens when i am fighting as i accrue ba. it usually happens when i am away for a time and then come back and find less than i expect. i see it every saturday at least, when i get up in the morning and fight down to a number that should take me back to 160 by xp time. as far as i remember back, it has never gotten me back to 160 and is usually 155 to 159, but has been as low as 152 before. i have two hours to see how much it is off today and will post later.

the issue has also been obvious in tourneys as you can see quite different regens. the powers that be may be correct and it is the above quoted issue, if that is the case, then it is quite a bit more prevalent than it used to be. so much so that we notice it now on an hourly or similar basis whereas it used to seem to happen perhaqps once a week or less.

Agreed, I think this is a different issue than that outlined in the Q&A Help.

It's better than the half days of downtime we endured once or twice a month about a year back... :P

To be honest, I can never remember what my BA regeneration rate is because the amount I get changes all the time. It's between 6 and 8. I believe that I'm on 8 and I never get more than that. Being on a rate of 8 and waking up with an odd number of BA DAILY gets a little bit vexing. I remember learning in math that any number multiplied by an even number will always result in an even number. My brain can't handle this being false early in the morning :\

Daz: the out-of-BA page will tell you what rate you should/could/may be on.

Of course I know that, but I seem to get 7/20 more often than 8/20. When I'm watching, at least.

0 ba regened just now, well, at 4 am better said.
It's now 4.19 am server time...either this one is unbelievably late or I have been denied 7 turns.
