Armour Naming Question (in General)

The Wiki for renaming says:

"Naming armor increases its stats and armor class by 4%. If there is a bonus to stats or spells given by the armor, this bonus also increases."

...so what is the bonus increase to stats or spells given by the armour? Am I right in thinking it would be 4% of whatever the bonus is?

And specifically, in the case of the TSA with the ST gain & HP regen - do these both go up, and if so, is it ST to 2% & HP to 6%, or something else entirely? And does this make it worth naming (aside from the boost to AC)?

Alright, me being stupid, so ignore the bit about ST - it's 1% per point added, so presumably 4% bonus to the enchantments, then ST is based on that?

I have a question to add (sorry to hijack you), is the formula for say a named CoI at +50:

50%+4%=54% bonus to DD

or

50%+(50*.04)%=52% bonus to dd

Koshka - an easy way to remember it is that you get +1 per 25 points. So anything below 25 = +1, 25-49 = +2, so forth and so on.

It only affects the STR portion, as well.

Paddy, the same that I said about TSA just above this applies to the COI as well - would be 52%.

HP regen would not go up. Naming boost is counted as enchantment boost, and always rounded up.

For example, Trollskin armor + 28 unnamed would give 28% ST boost, 28 magic AC, and 5% regen.

if you named it, it would get a 4% boost to it's total AC, applied to the +. In this case, [22] +28 = 50 *1.04 = 52. Total AC would now be 52, 22 from base, and 30 enchanted. This TSA now gives 30% boost to ST, 30 magical AC, and 5% regen.

If you upgraded it a point to +29 while it was named, it would get the same 4% boost, except the bonus always rounds up to the next whole number. In this case, [22]+29 = 51*1.04 = 53.04 rounded up to 54. Total AC would now be 54, 22 from base, and 32 enchanted. This TSA now gives 32% boost to ST, 32 magical AC, and a 5% regen.

Regen is always 5% of natural trained HP, and only when the minion is below their trained HP (so it may take a while to kick in if you are also using AS). The only way to get it to regen more is if you got a +10000 TSA. Then, it would give a 6% regen (It doesn't say that anywhere, but I challenge anyone to *prove* me wrong! :P)

"I challenge anyone to *prove* me wrong!"

I accept your challenge!

Erm, I'll get back to you when I'm done. This may take a while...
