A lot of people seem to be having trouble with evasion. And by a lot of people, I mean those with tanks. I would run one myself, and may yet, but evasion seems a bit overpowering. Am I the only who thinks so?
You train DX, you just get DX. You train Evasion, you get defensive DX as well as a minus to PTH of your opponents. Maybe I'm oversimplifying it, but that's a 2 to 1 advantage for evasion. Why not change something?
Options: A) have DX give you additional PTH, just like Evasion gives -PTH. Would take some balancing on jon's part, I'm sure, since you can't really let tanks get to be +400PTH and all. Have it be say 50% as much PTH as evasion gives -PTH? Or have the extra PTH count only against evasion?
B) Make evasion decay. This is my favorite idea of, erm, myself. Just like elven hauberk, have its effects go down with time. That way evasion minions still have a big edge but after time they get tired, slow down, and are able to be beat before the end. Doesn't have to be 50% either, a decay of 20% off each melee round would be fair, right?
That's all. Well, I'm half tempted to bring up how it really seems like AMF should reduce and reflect the magic damage from RoBF, but that'll be for another day. Anyone think the evasion ideas would make sense? It would still be very possible, but tanks could still compete. As is evasion seems to be a simple way to shut down most tanks, period. Let's spice it up, even it out. Thoughts?
