Not trying to be difficult Poorage, but if you have to log in to CB to get said alert, can't you just check the auctions? You have to click "Home" to actually get your CM's, checking the auctions is only one more click.

well most people dun well i mean options that alert you when auctions are at a certain end point or are just now comeing into auction but now that i look at it that way lol maybe an automated bidding system so u can place ur max bid when ur not online it auto bids for u as high as ur willing 2 go?

When you enter your bid for something simply put in the highest amount you'd be willing to spend and the AH increases your bid accordingly. It takes the money from your account but if you're out bid it refunds it. If you win for less than your highest amount, it will refund you the difference after you win.
This is also the way to keep from losing something to Central Banker.
Don't be cheap with your max bid though and be shocked if you lose to the meany Central Banker.
wow...you guys really didn't know?
Say the current bid is $100,000, and goes up in $50k increments. You already know you are willing to pay up to $1,000,000.
So, instead of typing in $150k as your bid, you type in the full $1,000,000. It won't shoot the bid up to $1,000,000 right away, but if someone else bids $200k, it'll automatically up your bid to $250k and so on until your $1,000,000 cap has been reached.
Make sense? Sometimes I suck at explaining things...

would be kool if people knew what ur max bid was so they didint up ur money spent on purpose lol
Poorage, no one can see your max bid but you...
and, if I misread your post, then...
It'd be silly if everyone could see your max bid. Then they'd just outbid you and the feature would be pointless....?

If I knew that your max bid is for example 1 million, I would just bid 999,999, just to annoy you ;)

We didn't know. Or at least, I didn't. I'm willing to bet its because Help doesn't mention anything of that sort anywhere. Perhaps a slight modification would be in order?
Draug, it says it right on the auction page...
And poorage, you're not making any sense to me, lol

Yep, right under the place where you enter your bid.
"Your bid will automatically be increased up to the amount you give here. Only you will see what your real maximum bid is. 'Just like eBay.'"
Which is also why right next to where you enter your bid it shows how much you have to spend.

Ohhhhhh. I thought it simply meant that the bid will be increased to whatever you bid. Which I thought was obvious and as such, odd that it was stated. I suppose I don't use E-bay :P Sorry then.

Easy mistake to make Drau, no need to be sorry.

Wait till you win a nice shiny new Elven Hauberk in auctions and then make a post asking for someone to forge it... then you can be sorry to have bothered us.
...sigh...
