Problems with the Tutorial (in Public Record)

A while back, the server was having errors and I was unable to 'recruit a new minion.' And now that it is far too expensive for me to do so, I need for this tutorial to end so that I may purchase armor and utilize the blacksmith. This is a serious problem if I am to progress through this game.
If anyone can aid me, that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Scratch not being able to use the blacksmith, it must have glitched earlier. However, this doesn't change the fact that the tutorial won't go away and that I cannot use the armory.

Make a new character - Don't worry about making it NCB or anything and hire a couple of new minions on that one. With any luck, that'll get rid of it :)
